All About

Gift92 (Guild Initiative for Furniture Trust)

(Registered Charity No 1015952)

Gift 92 was established during Preston Guild Year in 1992 and has operated from a warehouse in Preston since its inception.

We collect furniture and household goods, free of charge, from members of the public who want to donate their pre-loved items. Gift 92 helps individuals and families living in furniture poverty, by providing essential household items they urgently require. We help to make a house a home.

We provide furniture and household goods to those referred to us by agencies who support persons seeking housing accommodation, are in receipt of Government benefits or have limited finances, often due to the cost of living crisis.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsupported requests to access our service.

Many of our service users are former homeless people, individuals or families suffering breakdown, young people setting up their first home, victims of domestic abuse, refugees and asylum seekers, and others living in crisis and inadequate accommodation.

We are aware that many people confronted with these challenges may struggle to afford the most basic furniture and our project can offer a vital lifeline by helping to furnish homes with items they might not otherwise afford.

Through the collection and redistribution of second-hand furniture, Gift92 helps reduce landfill waste and promotes sustainability.
